Party Block and Answers About Tree

New block for the About Quilting Block Party (lotto). It's the Pineapple Blossom from Bonnies Quiltville. I was still in fall mode when picking scraps for this block.

Some answers about the pom tree. (I'm no expert, just experience from this one). LOL
Our pomegranate tree was planted very early spring, no leaves (it does drop all leaves)- just a few short branches. It wintered over in a pot on front porch. My goodness the little stick tree grew so fast. Wind pushed it almost to the ground so a sturdy trellis was erected. Over time the branches will be trained to grow on cross supports.
These still have bit of green skin, the ones in stores are all ruby red. One I picked yesterday the birds had pecked open, it was so sweet tasting. Guess the birds know when a pom fruit is ready.

Chickens enjoy the shade and peck at lower leaves. No damage done, really. Wonder how big this tree will get? I'll try to keep it where we can reach fruits. Pom fruits grow on ends of branches so you have to be carefull when trimming.
