Trying to Get Back to "Normal"

Normal, whatever that is............

DH has challenged me to finish this cover quilt by end of October.  (He gets worried when I don't play with fabric).  Another new project? Yup.
This is a big (to me) quilt, finishing at 82"x 82".  I may size blocks down to 9" or 10" so will have to fiddle with math.  Too small and the great prints and background fabric won't show as well.  Hm.

"Hallows' Eve" is full of my favorite blocks- Churn Dash =D> applause !!!  Fall and Halloween colors, fabrics are favorites too.

So, here are my fabrics pulled for the blocks.  That brighter yellow-orange piece is for moon and some stars.  Oops, forgot to photo background fabric.  Oh well.
I plan to cut and sew some blocks over this long weekend. No way this will be a finished quilted and bound project by end of month.  But it should be fun to sew and at least have the top finished.

Also, must groom this little dirtbag guy. His hair grows so fast and  he loves a good roll in the dirt (too many lately).

Thank you for all the kind comments and emails about our loss of Java.  I don't really know what to say.  Losing two so close together was hard.  Both Zoey and Java were aged and had developed health problems.  We were just so blessed to have had them in our lives as long as we did.
