Baby Quilt Top

Finished quilt top for a baby that will need heart surgery. I thought the colors would be ok for a boy or girl.Nice and bright but soft at the same time.

Close-up of bug fabric. Not so scarey bugs in pastels.
I have enough of these fabrics to make at least two more quilts. Maybe should take time to cut into kits for a rainy day. Pattern is the original from QFK, used one less row to make square (measures 40x40).

Big Guy from the back yard bachelor group. He is on the shed roof, crowing his heart out. Maybe he misses his wife, Lola. Lola doesn't miss Big Guy. She pecked him relentlessly and chased him away. So Big Guy was exiled out back.

    The soft colours are beautiful. The bugs are cute. I really like Big Guy. Sounds like he is still hopeful :)
