Two more star blocks.  I was going to sew three each month instead of two so these would catch me up for Aug & Sept.  Unless I get behind for October- LOL.
I am trying to not use so many browns but much of my  scraps are mixed "brownish" and darker colors.  These two blocks have more blues and lighter fabrics cut from stash.

Found this baby horned toad out front.  He was hard to catch, little booger could run and dart quick.  If he had been still I never would have spotted him.
It barely measures over an inch.  I let the little thing go as soon as photo session was finished.

Now something creepy.  All of a sudden these big spiders are all over inside the garage.   They are big like a tarantula.  This one was sitting on a bag of chick feed, under the flap.  Gave me the shivers, I almost touched it!
Usually wild birds eat what ever insects are in the garage but they leave these big guys alone.

I want to say thank you for all the kind comments and emails about our loss of Zoey.

  1. Lovely blocks... I must start sorting my scraps to sizes to do some... the little horned toad looks like a lizard... rather sweet... but the spider gave me the shivers too....

  2. I love your star blocks! You can keep that spider though...he's creepy!

  3. Those are very pretty blocks - happy and fun! EWWWWYIKES @ the spider (I keep finding tiny little ones in my bathroom - it's starting to worry me! If there are that many that I *see* - how many are there that I don't??!!) and AWWWWWWWWWWWw @ the horned toad - he's a cutie!

  4. The horned toad is cute, but the YUCK to the spider. I really like your star blocks.
