A New Season & More Churn dash Blocks

Holiday time is fast approaching. About time I put up a new Header photo (as much as I enjoy Halloween and fall colors). This is Miss Smudgie helping me sew binding on our Christmas Kitty quilt. The quilt is displayed every December, right next to Christmas tree.

Nights are cold enough to enjoy a pot of red chicken chili. (The area had its first hard freeze this week).Choose your favorite chili recipe and just add chicken instead of beef. I bake the chicken, chop into chunks and add the last few minutes of cooking the chili. Yummy with cornbread pancakes!

Uh-oh, more churn dash blocks. Too many fall colors, this was not supposed to be a fall quilt. So, I've cut blues, greens and even a few TOT blacks to work on.

Another scrap fabric from sewing aprons, it has chickens. I snuck this in along with the horseshoe fabric scraps (earlier post). It's fun to have some unexpected fabrics in a quilt.
